Elementary First Aid at Sea (STCW 95 code A-V1/1-3)

This classification is used to train Deck hands, Oilers, greases and certain Fisherman.

The Practical First Aid at Sea Course has been designed to ensure that seamen can meet basic requirements for rendering assistance to his fellow crew members in the event of an accident at sea.

All ratings, deck, engine room and catering as well as fisherman.

Valid for three years by SAMSA.

First Aid At SEA (STCW95 code A-VI/4-1)
The First Aid at Sea Course has been designed to ensure that Seamen can meet basic requirements for rendering assistance to his fellow crew members in the event of an accident at sea. The emphasis being on comprehensive CPR skills and a wide range of First Aid concerns.
This classification is used to train all Ship’s Officers, (Engineering and Navigational Personnel) of all Ship’s. Recommended for all commercial and recreational cadets

One week full time course
Ships Captain Medical (STCW95 code A-VI/4-2)
Advanced first aid with invasive procedure training in compliance with international standards

This classification should be used for all Navigational Ship’s Officers from Second Mate and higher, as well as all Grade One Fishing Officers.

Candidates must have a valid first aid at sea certificate to attend.
