Advance Oxygen Administration and Basic Life Support (CPR &AED)
This course is designed for individuals seeking to transition their existing Diver Medic Technician (DMT) certification to an ADAS-recognised qualification. The Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme (ADAS) is an international commercial and occupational diver certification scheme that provides globally recognized qualifications for divers. ADAS certifications are essential for working in various sectors, including onshore construction diving, the offshore oil and gas industry, and public safety diving, and are recognised worldwide due to their high standards and mutual recognition agreements with other international schemes.
The DMT ADAS Crossover course focuses on three key areas: Standards of Care, Basic Life Support, and Oxygen Administration.
The DMT ADAS Crossover is tailored for professionals who already hold a DMT certification from an IDRCF member or IMCA and wish to gain an ADAS certification. This course ensures that participants meet the standards required by ADAS, enhancing their ability to work effectively in hyperbaric environments.
Course Admission
To qualify for the 1 day on site skills training and assessment, the following is required:
- Copy ID
- Electronic colour ID photograph
- Copy of current IMCA DMT certificate
- Copy of Dive Qualification (DOL, ADAS, HSE dive permit)
- Enrolment form
Course Structure
- Theory Component: Completed online independently prior to attending the practical training.
- Practical Training: Skills training and assessment, at The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine or another approved training centre. (May be done remotely for C-DOC DMT’s or by a C-DOC assessor if available on-site)
