Course Structure
- Theory Component: Completed online or independently before attending the practical sessions. This section includes modules on diving theory, physics, physiology, decompression, first aid, oxygen administration, and safe work practices for both SCUBA and SSDE (Surface Supplied Diving Equipment).\
- Practical Training: Conducted at The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine or another approved commercial diving school. This phase focuses on the practical use of both SCUBA and surface-supplied systems, underwater communication, tool handling, and in-water operational safety. Trainees gain real-world experience in controlled diving environments.
Certification and Skills
Graduates of the Class IV + III program are certified as Inshore Commercial Divers qualified to operate with both SCUBA and surface-supplied diving systems to a maximum depth of 30 meters. They are competent in performing inshore inspection, maintenance, and light construction tasks, as well as managing underwater emergencies and ensuring safe diving operations.
