Step 2: Progress to On-Site Practical Training (Optional but Required for Certification)
The practical training is conducted on-site at The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine and must be booked and paid for separately.
During this phase, learners develop advanced offshore commercial diving competencies in:
- Commercial SCUBA and surface-supplied diving operations
- Use of Kirby Morgan helmets, umbilicals, and communication systems
- Pre-dive and post-dive inspection procedures
- Umbilical management and diver tendering

Minimum Requirements for On-site Programme Enrolment
To progress into the certified training programme, learners must meet the required entry and readiness criteria.
- 18 years or older
- English proficiency: minimum IELTS 5–6 / CEFR B2 or equivalent
- Basic mathematics understanding
- Course fees paid in full
- Valid travel documentation (if applicable)
- Medically fit in accordance with commercial diving standards
- Demonstrated basic water competence
