This course is designed for chamber operators and chamber attendants in diving operations, focusing on the knowledge and practical skills required for safe chamber operations and emergency procedures.The curriculum is divided into two main modules: Chamber Operations (CHOPP) and Chamber Attendant (CHATT).

It prepares candidates to work safely and effectively in chamber support environments within commercial diving operations.

How the Programme Works

Step 1: Complete Theory Online

The theory component is completed online independently before attending practical training.

Step 2: Practical Skills Training and Assessment

Practical training is conducted at The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine or another approved training centre.

This phase focuses on safe chamber operations, chamber attendant duties, and emergency procedures in real-world diving support scenarios.

Entry Requirements

To qualify for the 5-day onsite skills training and assessment, the following is required:

  • Copy of ID
  • Electronic colour ID photograph
  • CV and certification of candidate
  • Completed enrolment form

Practical Training Dates

Duration: 5 days practical training

The prerequisite online theory must be completed prior to practical onsite training.
