Department of Employment and Labour Supervisor Training Class III

Class III Supervisors: Covers the Class IV modules as well as focusing on surface plant and equipment, surface-supplied diving equipment, umbilical management, and Kirby Morgan hat operations.

- Supervisor Training material as per guidance from the Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL), South Africa.
Course Admission:
- Prerequisites for Registration as Learner Air Dive Supervisor for Class IV/III/II
- Course enrollment form
- Copy of your ID/ Passport
- Colour passport photograph
- Letter of Recommendation from your current DoEL Supervisor, along with a copy of their DoEL dive supervisor permit
- A clear copy of your current in-date DoEL dive permit
- A copy of your current CV
- In-date Diver or Topside Medical
- In-date Supervisor First Aid and O2 Certification
- Online theory modules completed before on-site assessment
- Portfolio of Evidence (POE) Requirements

To complete your Portfolio of Evidence (POE) during training and in the workplace, the following documents are required:
- Completed Online Module A Theory for Diving Supervisors here on our platform
- A copy of each logbook entry for panel hours completed in the workplace, with a summary entailing date, equipment, tools, depth, cross referenced to the logbook entry
- The final Class POE assessment should be provided upon course enrollment, of skills and competence evaluation that is expected to take 1 to 4 weeks (Module B Practical), if there are minimal shortfalls

- Once all outstanding fees are settled and the online module is completed, our office will contact you to schedule your Practical Module B training dates.
Course Structure
- Theory Component:Â Completed online independently prior to attending the practical training.
- Practical Training: Skills training and assessment, at The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine or another approved training centre.
