This is a refresher programme for individuals who already hold a current or previous IMCA Approved Diver Medic Technician certificate.
It is not an entry-level medical or diving course. Participants should already be qualified divers or diving personnel requiring DMT refresher training.

How the Programme Works
Step 1: Complete Theory Online
The theory component is completed online independently before attending practical training.
This ensures you are prepared for updated emergency medical response, casualty management, and refresher assessment requirements.
Step 2: Practical Skills Training and Assessment
Practical training is conducted at The Academy of Diving and Offshore Medicine or another approved training centre.
This stage focuses on hands-on refresher training and assessment in offshore and diving medical emergency scenarios.
Entry Requirements
To qualify for the 5-day onsite skills training and assessment, the following is required:
- Copy of ID/Passport
- Electronic colour passport photograph
- Copy of diving qualification (DOL, ADAS, HSE dive permit)
- Copy of current IMCA DMT certificate
- Completed enrolment form
Practical Training Dates
Duration: 1 week (5 days practical training)
Important:
The prerequisite online theory must be completed prior to practical onsite training.
Even if a practical intake is fully booked, you can still start your theory training online NOW to prepare for upcoming training dates.
