This module explains the principles of safe tendering and active umbilical management, including hazard recognition, correct length control, marking systems, and safe procedures during water entry, descent, bottom movement, ascent, and diver recovery.

You will explore practical tendering responsibilities and diver-support requirements, including maintaining communication with the dive supervisor, ensuring continuity of work, supporting safe diver mobility, and responding correctly during emergencies. Emphasis is placed on safe handling, correct storage and maintenance of umbilicals, and understanding how buoyancy and environmental conditions affect umbilical control.
