Class III Supervisors: Covers the Class IV modules as well as focusing on surface plant and equipment, surface-supplied diving equipment, umbilical management, and Kirby Morgan hat operations.

- Supervisor Training material as per guidance from the Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL), South Africa.
Course Admission
Prerequisites for Registration as Learner Air Dive Supervisor – Class III:
- Course enrolment form
- Copy of your ID / Passport (minimum age requirement)
- Copy of your Divers Card
- Colour passport photograph
- Letter of Recommendation from your current DoEL Supervisor, along with a copy of their DoEL dive supervisor permit
- A clear copy of your current in-date DoEL dive permit
- A copy of your current CV
Department of Employment & Labour (DoEL) Minimum Requirements – Class III:
- Minimum age: 21 (attach ID / Drivers / passport copy)
- Number of dives: Minimum 100 (attach proof from logbook)
- Experience: At least 1 year from completion of Class III diver
- Practical hours during course: Portfolio of Evidence (including 50)
- In-date Diver or Topside Medical (must reflect on SAUHMA database)
- In-date Supervisor First Aid and O2 Certification (Level 3 First Aid)
- Chamber Operator Certificate
- Online theory modules completed before on-site assessment
All requirements are in accordance with the Department of Employment & Labour Supervisor Application Checklist.

- Learner Air Dive Supervisor Portfolio of Evidence (POE) Requirements

To complete your Portfolio of Evidence (POE) during training and in the workplace, the following documents are required:
- Completed Online Theory for Diving Supervisors
- Complete Required Practical panel hours and competencies as a learner supervisor in the workplace
- Complete and sign off the POE for Theory and Practical requirements of a learner supervisor – The POE (Portfolio of Evidence) will be provided to you. Please print it and begin completing it. Your workplace supervisor must sign off on it before you attend the 2–3 week skills training and final assessment at your chosen training centre. The POE serves as evidence of your knowledge and practical skills competence
